Here at Burlington Infant School we believe that in every child lies an artist. Art and Design stimulates creativity and imagination and provides visual, tactile and sensory experiences and a special way of understanding and responding to the world. It enables children to communicate what they see, feel and think through the use of colour, texture, form, pattern and different materials and processes.
We aim to unlock, encourage and enhance each child’s imagination, discussing various different artists and their unique techniques. Children will have the opportunity to practice and imitate some of their most famous artwork. Alongside this, we provide them with the opportunity to explore a range of different artistic media such as, clay, charcoal, oil pastels and paint.
